Most of us do some kind of historical research, but beyond that, there is little that unites us: some of us work on modernity, some work on capitalism or empire, some focus on processes and temporality, and even while methods are a unifying thread, we don\u2019t always agree about causality. Rather, our commitment is to a conversation that is international and historicized, one that includes presentations of work in progress, teaching and publications, as well as a commitment to reaching non-academic publics. If you\u2019re willing to join the chat (terrible pun intended), please <a href=\"https:\/\/nickwilsonsoc.org\/chsatssha\/contact\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"25\">do so<\/a>.\u00a0We also have monthly <a href=\"https:\/\/nickwilsonsoc.org\/chsatssha\/flash-talks-and-events\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"79\">flash talks and other events<\/a>, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/nickwilsonsoc.org\/chsatssha\/flash-talks\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"17\">news and notes<\/a> from around the world of historical social science&#8211;so please <a href=\"https:\/\/nickwilsonsoc.org\/chsatssha\/flash-talks\/submit-a-news-and-notes-item\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"105\">let us know<\/a> about your publication, event, or opportunity!  Our main goals are to facilitate links among and complement existing organizations, and to publicize resources for historical social science.
